President’s Guide Award & Prime Minister’s Award Ceremony 2025
The Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association proudly celebrated a remarkable occasion of achievement, leadership and service at the President’s Guide Award and Prime Minister’s Award Ceremony 2025, held on 19th July 2026 at the historic Temple Trees.
The ceremony brought together distinguished guests, leaders of the Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association, Girl Guides, Rangers, families and supporters to recognize the exceptional achievements of young members who had successfully completed the requirements for the prestigious President’s Guide Award and Prime Minister’s Award.
The occasion was graced by the presence of the Hon. Prime Minister, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, who attended as the Chief Guest and presented the prestigious awards to the deserving recipients. Her presence made the ceremony especially significant and provided an inspiring moment for the young achievers as they were recognized for their dedication, commitment and service.
The President’s Guide Award and Prime Minister’s Award are important milestones within the Guiding journey, encouraging young people to develop leadership skills, take responsibility, serve their communities and challenge themselves to reach their full potential. The recipients demonstrated perseverance and dedication throughout their journey, reflecting the values and principles at the heart of the Guide Movement.
The award ceremony was a celebration not only of individual achievement but also of the support provided by families, schools, communities and everyone who guided and encouraged the recipients along the way. Each award represents countless hours of learning, service, personal development and commitment.
The Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association extends its warmest congratulations to all the Girl Guides and Rangers who received the President’s Guide Award and Prime Minister’s Award. Their achievements are a source of great pride and serve as an inspiration to the younger members of the Movement.
The ceremony at Temple Trees was a memorable celebration of excellence and leadership, highlighting the important role of Guiding in empowering young people to become confident, responsible and compassionate leaders who contribute positively to society.
