What We Do

At the Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association (SLGGA), a variety of activities and programs are offered to girls and young women, aimed at their holistic development, leadership skills enhancement, and community engagement.

Workshops and training sessions are conducted to develop girls' skills in areas such as first aid, information and communication technology, arts and crafts, and vocational skills.
Through awareness campaigns, workshops, and initiatives, it raises awareness about issues such as education, health, gender-based violence, and discrimination.

Outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, trekking, and nature exploration are organized to encourage girls to appreciate the environment, develop teamwork, and build resilience.
The many branches allow girls and young women to join the Guide movement at varying ages and complete an age-appropriate curriculum. The SLGGA recognizes and celebrates the achievements and contributions of girls and young women through various awards, badges, and certificates. This encourages girls to set goals, strive for excellence, and take pride in their accomplishments.

International events provide a unique and enriching experience that promotes cross-cultural understanding, personal growth, and global citizenship.
